The LG webOS 3.0 will bring three new features that LG wants to brand as Magic features. The most significant is the split screen that will let you chose either two different channels or two different sources. The sad part is that LCD TVs that are close to a decade old had this feature but the Android TV or webOS TVs were missing this feature.

The other significant feature include mobile connect that will let users get the content from your mobile phones to the TV. The Zoom feature will be able to zoom part of the picture without messing up the quality. This one will be interesting to see.

Some other improvements includes a new remote features that will help you control more set top boxes, hopefully from your smartphone too.

LG SMART TV with webOS 3.0 changes includes:

• Channel Advisor analyzes viewing patterns and displays upcoming time slots with program information about frequently watched programs
• Multi-view allows you to watch two different channels at the same time or a channel and a Blu-ray movie, for example
• Music Player app plays music through the webOS 3.0 TV speakers, even when the TV is off
• My Channels and Live Menu have been upgraded with new sub-features to make them more useful to viewers
• IoTV app allows on-screen control of smart home appliances from LG and other manufacturers that are compatible with LG IoTV
