I'm Intel. Fly me

Former chip giant Intel said that it has introduced yet another drone - the Shooting Star.

The machine is designed to be used specifically for light shows, according to Intel drone man Anil Nanduri.

The drone, Intel said, is super light and provides “virtually limitless” color combinations, said Nanduri.

Nanduri said that Intel thinks drones are an important future computing platform and it’s just bought German drone company MAVinci GmbH, a company that creates flight planning software.

The Shooting Star uses built-in LED lights that will create over four billion color combinations.

It weights up to 280g and can fly for up to 20 minutes with a maximum range of 1.5 kilometers.

Intel didn’t say how much it costs or how much it paid for software firm MAVinci.
