Samsung introduced second generation of ultra mobile PC called Q1 Ultra. It is powered by low-voltage Pentium M processor clocked at 800 MHz (with Intel i945PM chipset and ICH7-M DH southbridge).
It comes with a 7 inch WSVGA display and also comes with preinstalled Microsoft Vista Home Premium edition. It can run Aero Glass as well.
Unit does seem fairly responsive thanks to the 1GB of SODIMM memory. Q1 Ultra has oddly shaped QWERTY keyboard which is split in half by screen or you can use the touch screen.
It can be hooked up to a number of different networks such as: 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 B/G WIFI, Bluetooth 2.0 HSDPA/Wibro.Q1
Ultra can run on standard batteries up to 3.5 hours and additional 6.8 hours with extended battery, which in total gives you around 10 hours of working time.
Samsung also hopes that the Q1 Ultra will be selling much better than the previous one. The SRP should end at €1199.
