According to Digitimes, citing sina.com, Lenovo is planning to reorganize in mid-January. Layoffs are expected, but the scope of the reorganization and the number of affected workers remain unclear at the moment.
Lenovo has been doing rather well lately, although Acer and Asus have managed to grab a lot of its market share in the notebook business, and Lenovo has been late to enter the netbook market and make a dent in Acer's and Asustek's market share.
Rumors that Lenovo chairman Yang Yuanqing will step down have been denied by the company, but the rumor mill keeps grinding on.
