Microsoft to give more info later this evening

T
his morning, Microsoft's TechNet China posted the first legal and legitimate copy of Windows 7 beta evaluation on its site.  The test version of Microsoft's upcoming operating system isn't available for download yet, however according to our source it should be readily available on the English version of TechNet within the next few days or weeks.

Microsoft has been quiet for the past few weeks regarding its activity with the operating system. This may have unfortunately been a result of the leaked copies of its beta 7000 build that we've all seen floating around the net for the past week and a half.  Rest assured, Microsoft will most likely give an explanation for the silence at its pre-CES keynote in less than twenty-four hours.

All in all, we expect to see Ballmer shed much more plentiful light on the company's highly-anticipated and forthcoming operating system, not to mention a spew of peculiar humor and sarcasm as well.

Microsoft's pre-CES keynote will be hosted live from the company's site on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 6:30pm Pacific Time and can be viewed here.
