Hosted by AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, other AMD executives and AI ecosystem partners, the event will obviously focus on AI. In short, AMD is expected to unveil its new Instinct MI325X AI accelerator, 5th Gen EPYC server CPUs, and probably its Ryzen AI PRO 300 lineup. The AMD Instinct MI325X AI accelerator was previewed back at the Computex 2024 show, bringing 288GB of HBM3E memory with 6TB/s of memory bandwidth. The 5th Gen EPYC server CPUs, based on AMD's Zen 5 architecture, will come in 128-core Zen 5 and 192-core Zen 5C designs, both expected to be coming as the EPYC 9005 series and promising significant performance improvements across the board.
AMD might have a surprise or two prepared, but since the event is obviously focused on AI, we do not expect any other significant announcements. The live stream will start at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 10 on AMD's website as well as the AMD YouTube channel.
