We managed to score some details regarding MSI's latest top-notch gaming notebook, the GT780. As these notebooks are mostly bought by gamers and those that are looking for a powerful desktop replacement, MSI partnered up Steelseries and its Fnatic, Evil Geniuses gaming teams from Europe and the US in order to make the best gaming notebook on the market.

As far as the technical specifications are concerned, we are looking at a notebook powered by Intel's latest Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor paired up with Intel's HM67 chipest and yet to be announced Geforce GTX 560M with 1.5GB of memory. The GT780 is a 17.3-incher with either a full HD 1920x1080 or HD+ 1600x900 screen, dual HDD with up to 1TB of space, has two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, D-Sub and HDMI 1.4 outputs, Ethernet, 802.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 2.1-channel speakers with THX TruStudio Pro and HD type 720p capable webcam. The entire notebook will be powered by a 9-cell 7800mAh battery.

Not to get to those gamer related features. The partnership with Steelseries brought a keyboard that is more gaming oriented as the most used keys in games are enlarged (like the left side Ctrl), and keys actually use a "just solid" solution that brings back the good old click. Another noticable thing is the lack of left side windows key, a yet another gamer preference. The keyboard will also feature an exclusive MSI LED manager which features a three-zone LED backlight.

The notebook will have an unique "engine start" power button and a mirror reflective touch sensors above the keyboard. The new GT780 beast looks good and all we need now is to see it shops and in some reviews.

Enjoy the pictures.
