Details of Acer’s first ultrabook ended up on the internets thanks to Vietnamese hacks at sohoa.net.
The first images reveal a sleek 13-inch ultrabook that will make the MacBook Air revise its daily diet and up its fiber intake.
Dubbed Aspire 3951, the ultrabook is just 13mm thick and it weighs 1.4kg. It features Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and a choice of mechanical drives up to 500GB or a 160GB SSD. Acer promises up to six hours of battery life thanks to ultra-low voltage CPUs and other power saving features.
There is still no word on a launch timeframe or pricing info. However, Intel’s cunning plan is to sell entry level ultrabooks for under $1,000.
