The guys from Notebookitalia site managed to snag couple of pictures of what appears to be Toshiba's new slim tablet that should feature dual-core TI OMAP4430 chip clocked at 1.2GHz.

Although details are still sketchy there has been some rumours that, in addition to Android 3, Toshiba's new tablet might exchange the Tegra 2 chip for something a tad faster, Texas Instrument's OMAP4430 dual-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz. One thing that is clear, Toshiba's new tablet is as slim as possible and features brushed metal cover and lavish chrome exterior.

The list of known specs include front facing 2MP camera, microSD, microUSB and mini HDMI ports. The new Toshiba Excite tablet should be announced during an official press conference at IFA 2011.
