Toshiba showed off the world’s first 13.3-inch tablet at a press event in Britan and according to Pocketlint, the beast is a pretty interesting piece of kit, although it is unclear whether it will ever enter production.

The tablet, if you can call it that, is based on a quad-core Tegra 3 chip and as you would expect, it has the footprint of an ultrabook. However, it is much lighter and more compact, so it’s not too cumbersome. Since it is still basically a concept, it’s unclear whether Toshiba will ever get around to actually building it.

Perhaps there is a market for huge tablets, especially if vendors offer them with keyboard docks, but so far Toshiba is saying that its future will depend on “consumer reaction.”
