Samsung reportedly working on Nexus 10 tablet

2560x1600 screen rumoured

Samsung and Google are reportedly developing a new Nexus tablet, but unlike the Nexus 7 the new slate should be a 10-incher with an insanely high display resolution.

According to CNET, the Nexus 10 will feature a 2560x1600 display, which translates to 299ppi on a 10-inch panel, so it’s even more crisp than Apple’s Retina class display on the third generation iPad.

Google will apparently co-brand the tablet with Samsung and judging by the spec it will not come cheap. There is still no word on the processor, but being a Samsung device, chances are it will sport an Exynos chip. The upcoming Exynos 5 comes to mind, as the tablet would require a lot of memory bandwidth to cope with the high resolution, but this is just speculation at this point.

In addition, CNET has learned that Google is indeed working on an even cheaper Nexus tablet, with a $99 price point.
