Huawei developing Windows 10 hybrids

Price war expected

Two-for-One hybrid computers are about the only bright point in an otherwise gloomy PC maker, and now it appears that Huawei wants a piece of that action.

The dark satanic rumour mill  has manufactured a hell on earth yarn which claims that Huawei Device is developing Windows 10 2-in-1 hybrid notebooks for launch in 2016.

It looks like Huawei is following its rival Xiaomi which has been cooperating with Taiwan-based ODM Inventec. Both are suffering from a slowdown in smartphone sales growth in the China market.

Xiaomi is likely to launch inexpensive consumer notebooks with high performance-price ratios, which is more or less what it did with smartphones. This could mean that Lenovo will feel a cool breeze of competition wafting up its bottom line.

Unlike Xiaomi, Huawei Device may launch business-use 2-in-1 notebooks and it might try pushing them in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Its 2-in-1 notebooks are likely to put considerable competitive pressure on Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Asustek Computer and Acer.
