The two new devices on the show floor this year include the 15.6-inch Legion Y520 and Legion Y720, which will be priced at $899 and $1,399 respectively when they launch over the next couple of months. The company has decided to keep its Y-series designation from previous gaming laptops, though it is now including some minimum specs required for casual gaming and midrange VR-ready gaming depending on the model and configuration options.

The Legion Y520 features a 15.6-inch 1920x1080p IPS display, a 7th-gen Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake processor, up to 16GB of DDR4, up to a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti, up to a 512GB PCI-E SSD or 2TB SATA HDD, and up to a 45Whr 3-cell battery with four hours of battery life.
The device also includes Harman Kardan speakers featuring Dolby Premium audio for an immersive sound experience, along with an optional RGB keyboard for added gaming appeal.
The notebook weighs 5.3 pounds and will become available in February 2017.
Legion Y720

The Legion Y720 features a 15.6-inch IPS display offered in 1920x1080p or 4K 3840x2160p resolution, a 7th-gen Intel Core i5 7300HQ or Core i7 7700HQ Kaby Lake processors, up to 16GB of DDR4, up to a Geforce GTX 1060 6GB VR-ready GPU, up to a 1TB PCI-E SSD or 2TB SATA HDD, and up to a 60Whr 4-cell battery with five hours of battery life.
The device also includes a single Thunderbolt 3 port for fast 40Gbps data transfers in addition to three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, VGA port, DisplayPort and audio port. The notebook also features JBL stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for a rather impressive and dynamic audio playback experience. Of course, it includes an optional RGB backlit keyboard just like it’s cheaper variant.
Lenovo is also including some integrated Xbox capabilities with this model, as it includes an optional integrated Xbox One wireless receiver to support up to four controllers.
The notebook weighs 7.05 pounds and will become available in April 2017.
