MSI has announced a first motherboard that will be a part of MSI's Big Bang lineup, the P55 Big Bang Trinergy. Just to clear some con"Fuzion" that has been started around the net, MSI's Trinergy has nothing to do with Lucid Hydra chip as this one is a combination of Intel's P55 chipset and Nvidia's NF200 chip.

Due to the implementation of Nvidia's NF200 chip, the new motherboard now has three PCI-Express x16 slots and supports Nvidia's 3-Way SLI, and of course ATI's CrossfireX as well.

Another new thing about MSI's P55 Trinergy is the QuantumWave audio processing, which supports the latest THX TruStudio PC and Creative's EAX Advanced HD 5.0. The rest of the features include 100% Hi-c Caps, MSI's OC Genie and SuperPipe, an 8mm heatpipe cooling design.

The one thing that also caught our attention is the MSI's OC Dashboard, an external real time overclocking device which we had a chance to see a while back. It works together with OC Genie on which MSI is really proud of as this one is MSI exclusive chip-driven auto OC processor.

As far as the specs go, MSI's Trinergy comes with a total of ten SATA 3.0Gbps ports, dual Gigabit LAN, two Firewire ports (one external and one internal), two power eSATA ports and a total of 14 USB ports. In addition to the three PCI-Express x16 slots, MSI Trinergy also features two PCI-Express x1 slots (one reserved for the Quantum Wave audio card) and two plain PCI slots. The small connector on the backplate located between two eSATA ports is actually a port for MSI's OC Dashboard.

The MSI Big Bang P55 Trinergy motherboard should appear in retail by the end of November, and you can expect a quite higher price tag when compared to regular P55 motherboards as this one certainly packs a lot of features and should be the best that P55 and MSI can offer.
