Zotac announces 7-Series mini-ITX motherboards
Z77-chipset in mini-ITX form factor
In addition to the upcoming Z77-U1D high-end motherboard based on Intel's Z77 chipset that was recently pixellized, Zotac has officially announced two totally different motherboards based on the same Z77 chipset, the mini-ITX Z77-IXT WiFi and the H77-ITX WiFi A series motherboards.
As the model name suggests, the Zotac Z77-ITX WiFi is based on the mini-ITX form factor and features Intel's Z77 chipset with support for LGA1155 CPUs. It has two DDR3-1600 (2133MHz OC) DIMM slots with support for up to 16GB of memory, it has two HDMI and one mini-DisplayPort outputs, two SATA 6Gbps and two SATA 3Gbps ports, a total of four USB 3.0 and eight USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit ethernet and, according to Zotac, it is overclocking capable. The new Zotac Z77-ITX motherboard also features PCI-Express x16 3.0 slot, one mSATA slot, integrated 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.
The second one, H77-ITX WiFi A series, is pretty much the same but based on the H77 Express chipset. It still has two DDR3-1600 DIMM memory slots but without overclocking capabilities, same number of SATA 6Gbps and SATA 3Gbps ports and USB 3.0/2.0 ports. It adds a single eSATA port but has only one Gigabit ethernet. The display outputs are a bit differnt as here we have DVI-I, HDMI and one DisplayPort. The rest of the features should be the same.
Both of these mini-ITX should start to appear in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
