Bioshock 2 will be getting some additional downloadable content with the announcement of a third installment coming August 3rd; it will be called “Protector Trials” and will be a single player test that gives players the chance to defend Little Sisters from swarms of Splicers.
The Protector Trials will feature six maps based on locations from the game for players to test their skills by playing the Big Daddy. Developed by the team at 2K Marin, the DLC will cost 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 when it arrives.
What might be more interesting is that additional single player DLC content is in development that is expected to be additional story-driven content previously announced as in the development pipeline. Previously, the other two DLC releases for Bioshock 2 have been multiplayer offerings.
