Vince Zampella and Jason West will be participating in a panel discussion at Quakecon titled “Building Blockbusters.” The two former Infinity Ward heads will be joined by Tim Willits and Todd Howard from id Software in the panel discussion.

Our sources tell us that Zampella and West are unlikely to announce what their new company, Respawn, might be working on. Still, you never know what might come out during a panel discussion at an event such as Quakecon.

Todd Alderman, who is also now with Zampella and West at Respawn, will be on a panel at Quakecon called “The World of Design.”

Whispers that we hear continue to suggest that it is possible that Respawn has already done a deal to license an engine that will be used to build their new title. Some of these whispers are suggesting that Respawn might have a deal with id software to license one of their engine technologies. If true, it would not come as a surprise, as Infinity Ward has used id’s engine technology in the past.
