Despite promises, it isn’t going to happen
Those playing BioShock 2 on the PC platform have been patiently waiting for the arrival of The Protector Trials and Minerva’s Den, which are the latest downloadable content packages for BioShock 2. While they have been released for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for some time, PC BioShock 2 fans have just had to wait.

Now 2K has announced that despite the fact that PC BioShock 2 players have been waiting for this content for so long, they need not wait any longer, because it is not coming. Yes, that’s right:  it has been canceled for the PC platform and The Protector Trials/Minerva’s Den will not be offered as DLC to PC users.

2K made the announcement in a posting in the PC BioShock 2 forum, and despite their apology and acknowledgement that they know that PC BioShock 2 fans will be disappointed, they didn’t provide any specific reason as to why the decision was made to pull the plug on the content for the PC release of the game. Rumors of poor sales on the PC platform seem to be the main reason why many people believe that it was canceled. Of course, 2K will not confirm if this is actually the case.
