As we told you about previously, Sony has started shipping the 320GB non-bundled version of the PlayStation 3 to retailers. The unbundled version does not include Move or Sports Champions. The big attraction of the unbundled version is the 320GB hard drive that was previously only available in the Move bundled version.

The 320GB unbundled version is going for $349 in the U.S. and is showing up at retailers in significant numbers as retailers start stocking up for both Black Friday and the rest of the holiday season. Retailers that we spoke with confirm that Sony is telling them that the 160GB version that retails for $299 will still be available though the holiday season.

The $349 price tag with the 320GB hard drive makes the PS3 $50 more than the Xbox 360, which is going for $299 with a 250GB hard drive. It is questionable if the additional $50 for the extra 70GB of storage really makes it that much more of a value.
