Sony announced resumption of PlayStation Network service in Japan for this week. In what seems to be one of the company’s most serious blunders, Sony will complete global restoration of PSN on July 6.

It is said that the company lost $170 million in the process. It includes investigation, rebuilding of security systems, identity theft monitoring and compensating users with free games.
