While the game is still slated for release in October for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC, the additional things that are said to be included in the Collector’s Edition will apparently include a premium statue, art book, animated material of some sort, and (what is perhaps more interesting) the ability to get the downloadable content first when it is released. We assume, of course, that you will just be given the chance to purchase the downloadable content; it isn’t going to be free, we presume.
It seems that the prices continue to go up on these special editions, collector’s editions, and other mega editions that fans just can’t get enough of. We have to start to question some of this stuff and the true value of it unless you are a fan or collector. Don’t look for it to stop, however, as people seem to continue to buy and collect these editions.
