The 3DS Circle Pad Pro accessory will be arriving in the U.S. on February 7th. Apparently, however, if you are a 3DS owner who wants one you will have to buy it at GameStop, as they have landed the exclusive for the U.S. sale of the accessory.
The February 7th release date is interesting as the PlayStation Vita arrives just two weeks later, and it already offers dual controller support out of the box. While the Circle Pad Pro offers a second controller it also adds shoulder buttons, making the 3DS control experience closer to that of a gaming console controller.
A number of 3DS titles that support the Circle Pad Pro are coming, including Resident Evil Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater, which are the two big titles that will make use of it at the moment. No word yet on a bundled version similar to that which is being offered in other regions, but we suspect that the U.S. will also get a Limited Edition version that includes the Circle Pad Pro; and it will likely also only be available at GameStop.
