Ubisoft confirms Techland Off-road racer

Ubisoft has confirmed the release of Techland’s arcade off-road racer. The game, which is called Mad Riders, is rumored to use the same engine as the off-road name Nail’d that was previously released by Techland. It is confirmed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.

The title is the same game that originally was Haste, but has since changed names to become Mad Riders. The game in many ways is like the Black Rock title, Pure, and will see players performing tricks and stunts on ATVs racing on 45 fictional tracks all over the world.

The game will offer multiplayer support for up to 12 players and will include robust multiplayer support, but will offer very easy access for users with drop-in and drop-out racing modes.

The game will be priced at $10 or 800 Microsoft Points. It will be available on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and a number of PC digital download services when it is released starting on May 30th. Ubisoft is hopeful that Mad Riders will attract significant attention and be able to replicate the kind of success that the company recently experienced with Trials Evolution, which was developed by Ubisoft developer Red Lynx. We are not sure, however, that Mad Riders will be even close to as successful as Trials Evolution was.
