Activision to take action
Those that break street dates be aware
Sources tell us that Activision isn’t happy that retailers are breaking street dates and selling titles before their scheduled release date. The company will take appropriate action, and they are taking the situation very seriously.
While most retailers are playing by the rules, it is clear that some are not. Activision was looking to make an event out of the launch of Black Ops 2 at midnight globally, but all of the hype of early sales has distracted many from the real story here, which is that Black Ops 2 is being released.
It isn’t clear yet what action Activision might take, but it does seem that they are targeting the retailers who broke the street date, and not the customers who purchased the game and were playing it early.
