After the disastrous financial debacle that Square Enix recently announced, it comes as little surprise that the new Square Enix President, Yosuke Matsuda, will be conducting a company-wide audit and review. The goal of this review will obviously be to figure out what is working and what is not.

Once the review is completed, the company will eliminate those things that are not working in an effort to turn things around. While this review is being completed, Matsuda has asked for patience and support. He plans to call another briefing at a later date to talk about the company’s future plans.

Former President Yoichi Wada will apparently be continuing with the company in a non-management role in order to help with the company’s turnabout. Wada believes it is his duty to continue working at the publisher to pay his debt to the company. No word yet on exactly what Wada might be doing in his new role.

Square Enix Europe CEO Phil Rogers has been appointed to be the new director of Square Enix Holdings as confirmed by the company.
