Maybe in the future, but not in the near term

Bethesda is still not looking at the Wii U for any of its future releases at this point. According to the publisher, they can’t say that they would not do something on the Wii U in the future, but it is not in their near term plans.

Bethesda claims that the decision to no do Wii U versions is largely a hardware thing and not so much a sales thing. The publisher is talking about the hardware limitations that would make it difficult to release the games that they want to release.

The Wii U continues to struggle for third party software support and that can’t be helping sales. EA has already indicated that upcoming titles using the Frostbite 2 engine are not coming to the Wii U, because no version of the engine exists on the Wii U at this time. In addition EA isn’t delivering Wii U versions of Madden and FIFA this year. EA isn’t the only publisher that has scaled back its plans for releases on the Wii U.
