After Activision announced it was shutting down Bizarre Creations back in January of 2011, it looked like the end of the road for Blur. The Activision published racer failed to find an audience according to Activision and it was expected that this marked the end of the road for Blur.

Well think again because Activision has licensed Blur to Marmalade Play who has teamed up with App Crowd to develop a new Blur release called Blur Overdrive for Android and iOS. The Android version is out now with the iOS version expected to arrive on November 1st.

In addition to licensing Blur from Activision, the publisher has also licensed Activision Decathlon as well and it also has been released for Android and is available for download now. It is good to see Activision licensing some of these titles to another publisher to give them another chance at success. We will be interesting to see how successful both title will be in their new releases.
