Plants vs. Zombies shooter bumped for a week

Electronic Arts and PopCap have confirmed that the upcoming Plants Vs. Zombies shooter known as Garden Warfare has had its release date bumped. No reason has been given for the one week delay, but the game for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One will move from February 18th to a new release date of 25th in North America and February 28th in Europe.

EA has also confirmed that Garden Warfare will be the latest Xbox 360 title that will require a hard disk install, prior to playing the game. Xbox 360 players will have 4GB of content that needs installed on the hard drive prior to playing the game. This seems to be the new way of things for Xbox 360 owners and some are expressing concern that if they have not already upgraded to a 320GB hard drive on their Xbox 360, now would be a good time to consider doing so as it seems the majority of the big Xbox 360 games are going to require at least some hard drive installation.

As for the PC version of Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it has not been forgotten and it is still on track for a release later this year. No date has been announced as to when or what later this year might actual translate into as far as a release date.
