Rumors of internal discussion inside of Bioware about the possibility of a Mass Effect Trilogy release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have been circling for the past month or so. Now sources tell us that these plans seem to now have legs and indeed it looks like we are going to see it happen for sure.
While no release date has been announced, but we suspect that we will be hearing more about this at E3. It is unknown if the next-gen versions for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will feature enhanced content or additional content over and above what has already been released.
With the popularity of the franchise so high and knowing that another Mass Effect title of some sort is already in development, the move to bring it to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 might not be as crazy as it sounds. We have to think that if you enhance it enough and you give people a reason to play it, then it is reasonable to assume that it could be successful on both platforms.
