Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer, says that it is committed to getting the most out of each platform, but that does not apparently translate into an actual resolution number. With Call of Duty: Ghosts only running at 720p last year on Xbox One, it is understandable that Xbox One owners want to hear the developers plans in light of the new GPU resources that have been freeded up by Microsoft.
Other than saying that they are 60fps all the way, they are not ready to talk about where they are on resolution. They claim that the three year development cycle has made them sure that they are getting it right. Sledgehammer claims that they are ahead of where they were last year and still have a couple of months to go.
Sledgehammer says that they are working with Microsoft and Sony and they have direct connection to those guys and they are really happy with what they are looking at. Still however they continue to optimize the game to get the most out of it. Sledgehammer has publically stated that they have no intention to mislead players about the visuals.
