High price tag for a 1440p monitor
There were quite a few monitors at the CES 2019 show in Las Vegas, but judging from the praise it got around the net, Razer's 27-inch Raptor gaming monitor was obviously the star despite its high price tag as well as the fact that it is sticking to an IPS panel and lower 1440p resolution.
Snapdragon 845, improved screen and camera, and Chroma logo
As expected, Razer has unveiled its second-generation Razer Phone at a dedicated event held today, retaining the same block design, but updating it with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC with better cooling, glass back, improved screen and camera, and a couple of other goodies.
With the same square design
An alleged rendering of the Razer Phone 2 has been spotted online and it appears that the company won't be changing a lot when it comes to design.
With Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM
As we already know that Razer is working on a 2nd generation Razer Phone, it was just a matter of time before it showed up in some benchmark database and the one on Geekbench, shows it running on Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8GB of RAM.
Still no precise date
According to Razer's financial report, the company has confirmed it is working on its 2nd generation Razer Phone, which will probably get significant hardware and accessory updates.
No confirmation on when it is coming
It appears that Razer's Phone and Xiaomi's Black Shark could be getting some competition in the gaming smartphone market from Asus as the company's CEO, Jerry Shen, hinted at such a possibility.
Pairing up games with rewards
Razer has announced its own Game Store, which will offer digital copies of popular games as well as rewards, exclusives and more.
Razoring an eyebrow or two
Razer has lifted the kimono on "Project Linda," a 13.3-inch laptop design powered by the Android-based Razer Phone. The smartphone and laptop hybrid concept harkens a new era for mobile personal computing, blending the familiar Android environment with the ease-of-use of a laptop, so Razer claims.
Better cooling, higher clock or something else
One thing that caught our eye during Razer's presentation is the fact that it managed to beat Samsung's Galaxy S8+ in plenty of benchmarks - at least according to Razer's own slides.
