We wrote about this card before, but it wasn't ready to get its money shot in front of the camera at the time. Today, we managed to get our hands on the picture of Powercolor's HD 4850 SCS3 card.

As we wrote back then, the card's cooler has 54 aluminum fins which are connected to the copper base plate via four extra long 6mm heatpipes. The card will likely end up with the reference clocks, since passive cooling solution isn't exactly something to go with when you want to overclock the card.

The memory is cooled by a set of small heatsinks, the same as the card's VRM part. When you talk about passive cooling solution you must have in mind that a decent case airflow is a must, otherwise you might easily end up with an overheated card.

The release date is still unknown, but it shouldn't take long for this card to hit retail; on the other hand, it is nice to know that SCS3 cooling can cope with ATI's Radeon HD 4850 card.
