RV790 shows itself at PCI-SIG

In addition to the M97, FirePro 3D V8700 and V7750

There has been a lot of talk about the RV790 and now finally, thanks to the PCI-SIG (PCI Special Interest Group), we can say that the RV790 is official.

GPUCafe found that the PCI-SIG website holds a list that has AMD's RV790 as well as the M97 (Mobility RV740) and FirePro 3D V8700 and V7750 cards. The only specs that are noted at the PCI-SIG is PCIe 2.0, 5GT/s and that all of them use a x16 slot.

The FirePro 3D V8700 is based on the RV770 55nm GPU while the FirePro 3D V7750 is based on the RV730 GPU, as far as we know. The M97 is already known as the first 40nm chip from AMD and it is the Mobility RV740 chip that AMD announced during CeBIT.
