DirectX 11 spec is almost closed

No more major changes

Some
graphics boys told us that the DirectX 11 specification is almost finished. There won't be any major changes, and this means that graphics chip manufactures might start finalizing their graphics chips with DirectX 11 support.

Windows 7 most likely comes out in early 2010 and DirectX 11 naturally launches together with it, and by this time you should also see DirectX 11 hardware.

The first 40nm chips from both Nvidia and ATI are NOT DirectX 11 compatible and both companies will have other DirectX 11 chips toward the end of the 2009. DirectX 11 games will probably follow in 2010 and so far we are not aware of anyone major being brave to do the launch title.
