Starts at €470

A couple of retail/e-tail shops in Europe have started listing Nvidia's GTX 580 cards from various partners and although a lot of people were expecting a much lower price, it appears that the GTX 580 will be available with a price tag ranging from €470 to beyond €500 depending on the version. The recommended retail price appears to be set at €479,99.

Since we are talking about early listings, bear in mind that there might be some corrections and that some retail/e-tail shops might start selling it at a lower price. Of course, every shop will try to flog their own batch for as much cash as possible. Alternate.de and other larger shops are your best bet if you are shopping for the GTX 580, and it appears that they managed to get their hands on Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, Zotac and Palit cards. The cheapest cards come from Gigabyte and MSI, and we are talking about reference cards that are selling for €479.

There are some other cards listed as well, but these are either priced at €489, €499 or if they are overclocked at over €500. You can check out the full listing here.
