The top-notch AMD Radeon HD 6900M features 960 stream processors and 48 texture units. The GPU is clocked between 580 and 680MHz which is enough for 1.1 to 1.3TFLOPS of processing power. The GPU will be paired with GDDR5 memory clocked at 3.6Gbps. The HD 6800M has 800 stream processors and 40 texture units. The GPU works between 575MHz and 675MHz which gives between 920 and 1080 GigaFLOPS of single precision processing power. This one is also paired up with a GDDR5 memory that is clocked between 3.6 and 4.0Gbps.
The performance segment is filled with the HD 6500M detailed earlier and HD 6700M and HD 6600M parts. The HD 6700M and the HD 6600M are quite similar as both will feature 480 stream processors and 24 texture units. We guess that the main difference will be in GPU clocks and memory choice as the GPU will be clocked at between 500 and 725MHz, which is enough for 480 to 696 GigaFLOPS of single precision processing power. The memory is either GDDR3/DDR3 clocked at 800 to 900MHz or the GDDR5 clocked between 3.2 and 3.6Gbps.
The last mobile GPU that earlier eluded us is the AMD Radeon HD 6400M mainstream part. This one features 160 stream processors and eight texture units paired up with a GPU clocked at between 480 and 800MHz. These specs are enough for the 153 to 256 GigaFLOPS of processing power. The GPU will be paired up with either 3.2Gbps clocked GDDR5 memory or the 1.6 to 1.8Gbps DDR3 memory.
