Up to 60 percent faster than Sandy Bridge
According to a post over at Anandtech.com, Intel's Ivy Bridge might have a decent GPU, at least it will be much better than the Sandy Bridge one. (That's setting the bar pretty low. sub.ed.)

As you all probably know, Intel's Sandy Bridge was the first CPU that had an integrated GPU on-die. It was available in two configurations, as the HD Graphics 3000 and HD Graphics 2000. The HD Graphics 2000 had 6 EUs (Execution Units) while the HD Graphics 3000 had 12 EUs. According to Intel and the post over at Anandtech.com, the upcoming Ivy Bridge will have a total of 16 EUs and Intel expects a 60 percent increase in 3DMark Vantage scores and 30 percent increase in 3DMark 06 scores.

If you put those numbers together it looks like that Intel's Ive Bridge GPU, at least the fastest one, should have performance close to AMD's Llano A8 APU. Of course, this is all theoretical and it will be interesting to see how it will do in real-world and gaming performance tests.

The upcoming Ivy Bridge GPU will also have an improved Quick Sync performance and Intel is claiming that up to 2x better performance in video transcoding when compared to the Sandy Bridge.

Ivy Bridge will be made in 22nm manufacturing technology and is expected to show up next year.
