Nvidia has rolled out its newest Geforce 285.79 beta driver for desktop graphics cards bringing new improvements and fixes for EA's Battlefield 3 as well as some new SLI and 3D Vision profiles for new games including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

As always, the new driver supports all the card from Geforce 6- to the 500-series including ION GPUs and is available for Windows 7 and Vista OS. The new beta driver brings several bug fixes and performance improvements for EA's Battlefield 3 game, including the "stuttering" seen on DirectX 10 GPUs, performance improvements for both DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 GPUs, shadow map corruption fix for DX10 GPUs, fix for cases of black corruption lines/triangles with DX 10 GPUs, as well as fix for black screen during playback using Windows Media Center.

As noted, the new driver also adds and updates SLI profiles and 3D Vision profiles for various game titles including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Need for Speed: Run, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Batman: Arkham City, Hard Reset and much more.
