Nvidia rolls out 301.42 WHQL driver
Performance improvements, FXAA, Adaptive V-Sync for more cards
Nvidia has rolled out its latest Geforce 301.42 WHQL driver featuring support for all Geforce graphics cards since Geoforce 6 series, including the newely introduced GTX 690 and GTX 670. The main update includes support for Nvidia FXAA and Adaptive Vertical Sync that is now supported on all Geforce 8-series and later graphics cards.
The new driver includes PhysX v9.12.0213 as well as HD Audio driver v1.3.16.0. The performance boost, or simply performance improvements, when compared to the previous Geforce 296.10 WHQL driver, are limited to Geforce GTX 570, GTX 580 and GTX 560/560Ti graphics cards. The list includes game titles like Just Cause 2, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Bulletstorm, Civilization V, Far Cry 2, Batman: Arkham City, Deus Ex, Metro 2033 and much more.
The most noticable performance improvements include Just Cause 2 in SLI GTX 570/580 systems with improvement of up to 23 peercent and 15 percent on GTX 560/560Ti, as well as Skyrim with improvement of up to 21 percent in single GTX 570/580 and up to 20 percent in single GTX 560/560Ti systems. The new driver also brings updates for both Nvidia SLI profiles and Nvidia 3D Vision in most popular game titles.
