We managed to get some official and confirmed info regarding Nvidia's upcoming GTX 650 Ti and we can confirm that it will indeed be based on the 28nm GK106 GPU with 768 CUDA cores.
Last month, when GTX 650 Ti was rumored to have 576 CUDA cores, we were warned that info might be wrong so we decided to skip that one, as according to an early listing of the Galaxy GTX 650 Ti GC over at Newegg.com, it appears that our sources were right back then. We also managed to confirm these specs and the GTX 650 Ti will indeed be based on the 28nm GK106 GPU with a total of 768 CUDA cores. The GPU will be set to work at reference 928MHz.
The new GTX 650 Ti will feature 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 5400MHz paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. This adds up to a total of 86.4GB/s of memory bandwidth. Although we could not confirm the actual TDP we can confirm that it will need one 6-pin PCI-Express power connector. Early info suggests that the TDP is set at 110W.
We can also confirm that at least some of Nvidia's AIB partners will go for factory overclocked versions. The price, or to be precise RRP, was not officially given to partners by Nvidia and is still not carved in stone. We will surely keep an eye out for any official info. The official launch date is currently set at October 9th.
