AMD Corporate Vice president in charge of Graphics Matt Skynner has confirmed what has been rumoured for a while. Battlefield 4 is coming as a limited edition Radeon R9 290X BF4 card.
Skynner also said limited quantities of a BF4 Edition card will be available through pre-order only, starting October 3 with select partners and numbers will be limited.
We heard that the deal cost AMD millions, but they will be the only one with such a deal, pushing Nvidia out of that quite hot title. The October 3 date is just for pre-orders. It is not the shipping date that we expect to see the first cards shipping to customers between October 10 and October 15.
We cannot confirm whether Battlefield 4 Edition cards will also come with the standard Never Settle coupon a well, but we will try to find that out.
