Boost Doom performance on some Radeon card

AMD has released its new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.5.2.1 hotfix drivers which brings Doom performance improvements on some AMD Radeon graphics cards.

According to the release notes, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.5.2.1 hotfix drivers brings up to 35 percent performance improvements on Radeon R9 390 series graphics cards in the new Doom game.

According to some reports floating around, the performance improvements are not limited only to Radeon R9 390 series but also fix performance issues seen on other Radeon series graphics cards.

According to a report from Tweaktown, the new hotfix drivers bring much better performance in Doom on the older R9 290 series.

In case you had any performance issues with your Radeon graphics card or even if you did not, it would be wise to download the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.5.2.1 hotfix drivers if you are going to try out Bethesda's new Doom game.

As always, the new hotfix drivers can be found over at AMD's support page and these should include all the performance improvements and fixes from the earlier released Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.5.2 drivers.
