Taken from Nvidia's official "reviewer's guide", leaked by Videocardz.com, these performance figures are obtained by Nvidia and are currently the only official performance results, at least until reviews start to appear on July 19.
The list includes some DirectX 12 capable titles like Ashes of the Singularity, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Beta and Rise of the Tomb Raider where the GTX 1060 is around 4 to 24 percent faster than the RX 480.
There are plenty of results from DirectX 11 titles where the GTX 1060 is up to 33 percent faster than the Radeon RX 480.
According to the same list of results, the Geforce GTX 1060 is also faster than the RX 480 in SteamVR benchmark, where is scores 8.2, or around 24 percent more than RX 480, which gets 6.6 points.
According to earlier details, the Geforce GTX 1060 will officially launch on July 19 with a suggested retail price of US $249/€279 while Founders Edition will be sold exclusively by Nvidia for US $299.
AMD Radeon RX 480 might be a good choice in the mainstream market but Nvidia also has its horse for the race.
