Featuring a custom dual-fan cooler and a metal backplate, ASRock's new RX 5700 series custom cards will be a part of the new Challenger series, rather than the Phantom Gaming lineup, which possibly suggests that we will see some other designs in the future.
The cooler itself features two 10cm fans cooling down a rather hefty aluminum heatsink with four heatpipes. ASRock also released preliminary specifications, with a slightly higher base and gaming clocks. The ASRock RX 5700 XT Challenger OC Edition will still have slightly lower clocks compared to AMD's RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition, but the company said it is still fine-tweaking clocks so these might change.
Unfortunately, there is no word on the launch date, and as we wrote earlier, it is highly unlikely that we will see any custom RX 5700 graphics cards before early-August, in the best-case scenario.
