Seasonic has pretty much confirmed that Nvidia will introduce the new 12-pin PCIe connector for its upcoming RTX 30 series graphics cards.

Pictured by HardwareLuxx.de, the new adapter from Seasonic converts two 8-pin PCIe plugs to single 12-pin PCIe Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 connector. The connector is smaller than the current 8-pin one and these could be available with Seasonic's PSUs. The pictured box also recommends it to be used with 850W rated power supplies.

Earlier, images of an alleged RTX 3090 Founders Edition have been spotted online revealing a big card with a triple-slot design, suggesting that the flagship Ampere RTX 30 series card could need some hefty cooling.

In any case, we should hear more about Ampere early next month and hopefully, we will get a clearer picture on what to expect from the RTX 30 series.
