AMD lifts the curtain on the Radeon RX 5300

7nm entry-level Navi 14 GPU

AMD has unveiled the new Radeon RX 5300 desktop graphics card, which is based on 7nm Navi 14 GPU and it should be identical to the RX 5300M mobile GPU.

Although the Radeon RX 5300 features the same amount of stream processors as the RX 5500 XT, 1,408 to be precise, the memory interface has been cut down to 96-bit, and it comes with 3GB of 14Gbps GDDR6 memory, leaving it with a total memory bandwidth of 168GB/s. The GPU is clocked at up to 1,645MHz.

Bear in mind that it also has 32 ROPs, just like the RX 5500 XT and a 100W TDP, which makes it a rather interesting discrete graphics card, although it will need at least a single 6-pin PCIe power connector.

Unfortunately, it is still not clear if this is an OEM exclusive graphics card or it will come to retail/e-tail shelves, so we do not have the precise price or the availability date.
