The new PCI ID name was spotted in the new Nvidia driver and caught by Videocardz.com, and the same RTX 3050 A Laptop name was rumored earlier as well. The AD106 GPU used in RTX 4060 Ti desktop and RTX 4070 laptop GPUs packs a total of 4,608 CUDA cores. Of course, Nvidia will use a cut-down version of the GPU for the RTX 3050 A Laptop, but it should end up significantly more powerful than current GA107 GPU-based graphics cards. It will also have the upper hand compared to the AD107 GPU that packs 3,072 CUDA cores.
Unfortunately, the precise specifications and the performance are still unknown, but hopefully, Nvidia could soon launch the new GPU and we'll see how these laptops will perform compared to the existing RTX 3050- and RTX 4050-equipped laptops on the market.
Hopefully, we'll hear more information soon.
