SLI improvements and Video processor support

Nvidia
has released its new ForceWare 163.75 WHQL certified drivers today.

The company promises improved compatibility and performance in SLI on DirectX 9, DirectX 10 and OpenGL applications, as well as some game and application compatibility fixes.

Nvidia claims improved compatibility for The Way It’s Meant To Be Played game that includes BioShock, Crysis, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Hellgate: London, and World in Conflict. Nvidia added Team Fortress 2 SLI support and resolved some graphics memory manager related issues on Geforce 8 cards running in DirectX 9.

Just six months after it launched 8600 and 8500 cards, Nvidia added HD video post‐processing for H.264, VC‐1 and MPEG‐2 HD content on the GeForce 8500 and 8600 series GPUs. We are not sure if this article here has anything to do with it. It is beyond us how and why we have let Nvidia get away with this for such a long time.

The new Forceware also supports the following motherboard GPUs: GeForce 7150 / NVIDIA nForce 630i, GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i, GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 620i, GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 630i, GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 610i.

There is still no SLI support for Crysis.

You can download the new XP driver here, or the Vista driver here.
