OCZ has announced the launch of yet another 4GB kit and time it is the Reaper HPC series. The new DDR2 PC2-6400 works at 800MHz with 4-4-4-15 latencies. It will be available as a 4GB (2x2048MB) Dual Channel kit.
The key feature of the Reaper HPC series is the Reaper HPC heatsink. We are talking about the heatpipe placed between the standard memory heatsink and the additional compact aluminum fin array. The mentioned kit works at 2.1 Volts and comes with 2.2V Extended Voltage Protection, which means that you can raise the voltage to 2.2V without invalidating the OCZ Lifetime Warranty.
It looks like that 4GB kits are slowly starting to be a most common thing, at least since 2GB is reserved for recommended system requirements. We will certainly see alot of 4GB kits in the following time period.
We don't know the price but it won't be cheap.
