OCZ announces new Special Ops Edition DDR3

Camouflaged at 1066MHz and 1333MHz


OCZ has announced a new addition to its Special Ops Edition line of memory modules. These two new DDR3 modules will work at 1066MHz and 1333MHz, and will be available as both single modules and packed as dual-channel kits.

The first in line OCZ DDR3 PC3-8500 SOE will work at 1066MHz with 7-7-7-24 latencies and at 1.6 Volts. It has an EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) that tolerates up to 1.8V. As the entire Special Ops Edition, these modules will also be cooled by OCZ's Camo Motf XTC heatspreaders. It will be available as either a single module in 1GB or 2GB capacity or as 2GB or 4GB dual channel kits.

The second one, OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 SOE will be clocked higher at 1333MHz with 9-9-9-27 latencies at 1.7 Volts. This one will have a lower EVP of 1.75V. Same as the previous one, this one is also cooled by a Camo Motif XTC heatspreader, and will be available in those same configurations, both single modules and dual channel kits.
